Marlborough-based artist Clarry Neame describes himself as an impressionist painter of light. He believes that when you are surrounded by nature's best that's lit with the region's superb clarity of light, you cannot do or be otherwise.

Clarry's studio is located at Hunter's Wines winery in the heart of Marlborough's awesome landscape. With its wild and rugged coastline, magnificent mountains on both sides of the valley, its rivers and lakes, and of course the beautiful waters of the magical, Marlborough Sounds, Marlborough provides Clarry with inspiration and motivation for his work.
